Obama Declared a Geek by the "PC" Guy

by bradiger   June 23, 2009 at 4:21PM  |  Views: 103

At Friday night’s 2009 Radio and TV Correspondents’ Dinner, it was a bonafide nerdfest. In his keynote speech, comedian and geek hero John Hodgman explored the difference between jocks and nerds, and in the process, declared Barrack Obama to be the "first nerd President."

Hodgman, known for his work on The Daily Show and his role as "PC" in the iconic Apple commercials, took a surgical approach to bringing up point after point showing Obama’s geekiness, complete with a PowerPoint presentation.

Of course, the photo of Obama in front of the Superman statue was also included as supporting evidence, as was the Leonard Nimoy Vulcan salute incident as well. And Hodgman's speech was all the more impressive when you consider the fact that his act had to follow one of the most charasmatic speakers of recent memory. Check out the video below!
