Lady Gaga Pisses Off PETA with Meat Bikini

In what seemed to be an obvious ploy to garner even more attention, Lady Gaga has enraged animal rights activists for wearing a beef bikini on a recent Vogue magazine cover.

As we reported yesterday, the picture on the cover of this month's issue of Vogue Hommes in Japan features Gaga in a bikini made entirely of raw beef. PETA was apparently none too pleased with this.

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk recently stated:

Lady GaGa's job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body. No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal. Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so if that's the look they were going for, they achieved it.

This situation, in my opinion, was just another way for Gaga to shine some attention on herself. Nothing more, nothing less. PETA should have just ignored her instead of giving her more press. Idiots.
