After a metric ton of hype, then a "magical" unveiling, and the inevitable backlash, the iPad has already been through a lot - and it hasn't even hit store shelves yet. Now, the first official reviews are starting to roll in. So, did Apple nail it with their tablet offering, or was it much ado about nothing?
Simply put, the reviews are surprisingly positive in general. Of course, a (valid) complaint echoed by many is the lack of Adobe Flash support, and Apple's continued tradition of locking their devices to their software, making it difficult to put data on the iPad without going through iTunes hoops to do so.
But also in another Apple tradition, the interface is beautiful, the build quality is second to none, and the package as a whole is rock solid.
