The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has officially interviewed Mariah Carey over allegations of child endangerment and cleared the pop singer of any wrongdoing. According to TMZ, “DCFS social workers interviewed Mariah and spent time with the twins -- and concluded the children were in a healthy and safe environment.” The big-voiced songstress was investigated after an anonymous tipster informed the DCFS that “Mariah drank a Guinness beer while she was breast feeding.” Mariah says she drank the beer after being advised by hospital staff to do so. Apparently drinking a dark beer aids in lactating. [TMZ]
Amy Winehouse Heads Back to Rehab
Amy Winehouse’s battle with drugs and alcohol continues. The soulful singer has reportedly relapsed and decided to re-enter rehab. The decision came after her father sat her down and told her she was “drinking too much again.” Reps for Winehouse confirmed her return to rehab, releasing a statement saying, "Yes, Amy has embarked on a treatment program at the Priory Clinic. She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors' advice.” Winehouse was seen having one last drink of vodka before checking herself in and beginning, again, a life of sobriety. [New York Daily News]

You remember the ‘90s, right? Grunge, wallet chains, alternative rock, and Lilith Fair (yikes!)? Well, as embarrassing as some of that stuff seems now, it’s sometimes fun to take a look back at some of the high points of decades past, which is exactly what Rolling Stone is doing with their recap of the best hundred albums of the Clinton years. While we’re sure the list will provoke debate, all in all it’s not a bad list. Now if you’ll excuse us, we need to find some new laces for our Doc Martens. [Rolling Stone]
Undiscovered Pyramids Found by Infra-red Satellites
When it comes to wonders of the ancient world, there isn’t much that fascinates modern man more than the pyramids of Ancient Egypt. Well it turns out that there are believed to be 17 “lost” pyramids that have been discovered during a recent satellite survey of Egypt. According to Egyptologist, Dr. Sarah Parcak, "We were very intensely doing this research for over a year. I could see the data as it was emerging, but for me the ‘Aha!’ moment was when I could step back and look at everything that we'd found and I couldn't believe we could locate so many sites all over Egypt.” While it remains to be seen what will be found once the initial excavations are complete, this is bound to inspire a reboot of The Mummy franchise.
