Pre-Game With Some Prelims

April 16, 2010

Trade the booze, or supplement it rather, with a fix of fighters going toe-to-toe live, for free, on Spike.

Former season one contestant of The Ultimate Fighter, Alex Karalexis, will be one of several to hit Spike TV on April 24, 9PM/8C at the Aldo vs Faber live event.

Karalexis is 10-4 and made his MMA impression when he won a fight over Josh Rafferty at the TUF 1 finale. With four of his six last fights serving as W's on his record, he'll be hoping to make it seven when he squares off against Anthony Pettis in a lightweight battle. Pettis is 8-1 and has come out on top in two of his last three fights. This will be a battle of a veteran with notable experience against a young up-and-comer known for his Muay Thai and heavy hands.

Also set to air live on Spike is a featherweight bout between Leonard Garcia and Chan Sung Jung. Garcia is trained under Greg Jackson and has defeated the likes of Roger Huerta, Jens Pulver, Cole Miller, and Manny Gamburyan. Jung is making his debut fight on American soil against Garcia and is known for being en explosive fighter that can not only dish out, but also take high levels of punishment.

So, reward yourself for that relentless Monday through Friday routine and fill your appetite with some good ole brawls.
