Joe Jackson Denies Beating MJ
In an interview last night on Larry King Live, Joe Jackson denied the notorious claims that he had abused his son Michael as a child.
During his interview with King, Joe Jackson said that the the allegations of him harming his children were lies created by the media:
The media keep hollering about saying that I beat Michael. That's not true. You know what this beat started — beat started in the slavery days. Where they used to beat the slaves and then they used to torture them. That's where this beating started. These slave masters, and that's where that come from. ... Now, Michael was never beaten by me. I've never beaten at all.
Although in a 2003 interview with Martin Bashir, Michael claimed that he was routinely abused by his father, saying Joe would sit in a chair with a belt in his hand while he and his brothers rehearsed. Michael also said that Joe would "would tear you up if you didn't do it the right way."
Joe claimed on Larry King last evening that MJ was brought up right. "Michael was raised properly," he said. "He didn't run the streets like most of those other kids that was in his neighborhood."
Joe is insane.
