One week ago, United States President Barack Obama took time out from what we assumed was a busy schedule to talk about why LeBron James should sign with the Chicago Bulls. Last night, he re-visited the situation and explained why the NBA MVP should re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers. (Flip-flop after the jump.)
"That's a town that has had some tough times." Obama noted. “I think it'd be a wonderful story if LeBron says, you know what, I'm going to stay here in Cleveland.”
In all fairness, Obama did do a great deal of research and waited an entire week before completely changing his mind.
Clearly, he sat down, pulled out his Dawson’s Creek Trapper Keeper and cleared a few hours everyday to read up on NBA free agency. Obama is the type of guy who really does his homework before discussing things which, in no way, have anything to do with his job.
Tune in next week when he announces that New York may actually be the best fit for James.
