As part of Valve's new Steam service for Apple computers, Steam users are treated to weekly updates to service's library of downloadable games. This week brings the legendary shooter Half-Life 2, and it's got a few new tricks up its sleeve.

Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Life 2: Episode Two are now available for Macs via Steam, sporting Steam Cloud support that will let players access cross-platform games remotely. Half-Life 2 and Episode One have also been updated with "improved graphical effects" and new Steam achievements, which gives you an excuse to give those games another look if you've already been through them before on a different platform.

Looks like Macs aren't just for syncing your phone with iTunes anymore! We kid, we kid. Check out Valve's trailer for new content below. Clever chaps, those Valve people.
