Jesse Holley Proves Dreams Come True

Best known as the 2009 winner of Spike’s very own Michael Irvin-hosted sports reality show 4th and Long, Jesse Holley found himself literally living the dream yesterday after miraculously helping his Dallas Cowboys beat out the San Francisco 49ers in a thrilling overtime victory.

In what seemed like a scripted event, Holley took his first NFL reception yesterday against the San Francisco 49ers during the Cowboys' final drive in regulation, which eventually led to overtime after they scored. In post-regulation play, Holley made a 77-yard reception during Dallas' first offensive down after the 49ers went three-and-out. Holley got the ball to the one-yard line to help set up the game-winning 19-yard field goal. "I went to my coaches and I told them I'm ready," Holley said to ESPN. "I'm just glad that they believed in me to make a play."

For those that don’t know, Holley beat out 11 other competitors on 4th and Long to win an invite to a Cowboys training camp. He performed well enough to earn a spot on the practice squad and made his way to the Cowboys’ main roster during the middle of last season.

This is proof that with hard work and dedication, dreams can come true. Congrats, Jesse. Good luck on the rest of the season!
