Jennifer Love Hewitt Will Check Your Email
Here’s a warning for any dude who dates Jennifer Love Hewitt in the future: She will check your email. The Love visited The View today where she told the story of how she discovered that an ex-boyfriend had been cheating on her for a year and a half by hacking into his email. Jennifer said, “I'm really happy I did it and I would do it again. I was really curious, I knew in my gut that something was going on. I checked, and I found that out of the almost two-year relationship, for a year and a half, he had been having relationships not just with one woman, but a few.” Jennifer says she suspected her ex was cheating because he was caring more about his appearance and started working out. But does that excuse hacking into someone’s email? Hell no. [Huffington Post]
Russell Brand Needs Constant Orgasms
Russell Brand has again opened up about his sex addiction and life with Katy Perry in this weekend’s Parade magazine. The British comedian discusses how he came clean about his sordid past to his fiancée Katy Perry. According to Brand he sat Perry down and said, “Katy, you need to know, I'm not a virgin. In fact, if you're counting, the list of my sexual escapades is mind-boggling. But these women will be celebrated for ever more. And they will live on in my imagination.' Then, I said, 'Katy, look at my past as an audition process. I went through all of those girls to get to you. And you don't even have to thank me.'" Now that’s smooth. Brand says life is good with Perry, saying, “Katy is sexy, which is good because if I don't have an orgasm every 15 or 16 minutes, I can become very difficult.” Looks like Katy’s got her work cut out for her. Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams is at the center of a hacking scandal after a topless photo of her was posted on the Internet. The photo shows the singer with her shirt pulled down over her chest and it appears to have been taken by Williams herself. It was posted to her Twitter account late last night, supposedly without her knowledge. "Well ... My night just changed drastically," Williams tweeted in response. "Got hacked." Gotta love the internet. [WWTDD]
Gamer Gets Knifed In-Game, Tries to Return the Favor in Real Life
After his Counter-Strike character died in a knife fight, 20-year-old Julien Barreaux spent six months tracking down the virtual killer. Then he grabbed a real kitchen knife and paid the man a visit. Thankfully the Frenchman's knife skills are almost as bad in real life as they are in Counter-Strike and he missed his victim's heart by an inch. He was arrested within the hour and told police that he had wanted to see his rival wiped out for killing off his character. Judge Alexiane Potel best summed up the entire situation with these words to Barreaux at the trial that followed: "You are a menace to society. I am frankly terrified of the disproportionate reaction you could have if someone looked at you the wrong way in the street." Barreaux was sentenced to two years in jail and anger management therapy. Maybe he needs a timeout from the online shooters, too. [NY Daily News]
Next Apple TV to Be Screenless $100 iPhone?
According to an Engadget source, the next Apple TV will be a totally reimagined device built upon the hardware and software architecture of the next iPhone. And it'll cost $100. Rather than relying on local storage—the next Apple TV is rumored to have just 16GB — Apple will offer network streaming from devices like Time Capsules while moving to cloud-based streaming that works within iPhone OS. With just a power plug and video out, the next Apple TV will stream 1080P movies to your TV. That's right—no ethernet. The future, people! [Engadget]
Stanley Cup Finals Start Saturday, Forgotten Slightly Later on Saturday
The NHL Finals kick off this weekend with a match-up between classic powers. The Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers - both of whom easily handled their conference championship opponents - square off at the United Center on Saturday for a game that will, in fact, be nationally televised. Will the Hawks complete their impressive run? Can Philly's defense continue their dominance? If a tree falls in the forest and nobody's there to see it, does the game really count? All these questions and more will be answered Saturday. Tune in (because somebody has to). [ESPN]
