The Wii's Virtual Console has been a haven for older gamers who want to revisit classic games from the '80s and '90s. There are titles from half a dozen retro systems available, including the Genesis, TurboGrafx-16, and Super NES, but using the Wii's remote or classic controller can put a real cramp in your nostalgic adventures.

If you're serious about getting an authentic experience, there are a few choices that are available now in Japan, and should be coming stateside very soon. First, there's this super sweet Super NES controller that plugs into the Wii remote.

Officially, they are only available to Japanese Club Nintendo members, but the controllers have already started to appear on auction sites, and some import shops expect to receive stock soon.

Next up is the NEOGEO Stick 2, which is essential for arcade fighting games like The King of Fighters and World Heroes.

This joystick is on sale at retail in Japan, so it should be a little easier to come by. Current auction prices are cheaper than the SNES pad as well.
