It was a tumultuous year for TNA wrestling with the addition of wrestling legend Mick Foley and the formation of the Main Event Mafia in the latter half of the year. Spike TV was given exclusive access to follow a group of Special Agents and Task Force Officers in the DEA Detroit division as they risk their lives daily in the ongoing battle against illegal drugs. The result was a hit series that will be back in 2009 for more action. See full episodes from the first season here.

Ah, MANswers. Where would any of us be without them? Season 2 of this fan favorite raised the bar and served up the man knowledge you crave. Hit the link for our Top Ten MANswers of 2008!

I Bet You Will was the show that proved people will do anything for money and, though it was tough to decide, we've got our Top 5 I Bet You Will Dares of 2008. Warning: Don't watch on full stomach.

GTTV, the greatest video game show in the universe, brought us a year full of world premieres and exclusives nobody else can match. If you love games, then you can't afford to miss GameTrailers TV. Check out full episodes from this year here.

Speaking of man knowledge, this year also saw the birth of The Playbook. Host Matt Bean brings you bite sized tips, tricks and information that all guys can use. What's the best way to store cigars? What do you need to know about scotch? Find out with The Playbook.

2008 wasn't an easy year for anyone, least of all our wounded soldiers returning from duty. Spike and the UFC hosted a live and free fight event to benefit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a leader in supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. Though the fight event has passed, we encourage you to donate if you can here.

What a year for The Ultimate Fighter. Jesse Taylor lost his chance to become The Ultimate Fighter and Amir Sadollah went on to upset CB Dalloway to win the title himself. The madness continued in season 8 with Junie Browning's hair trigger and two new winners crowned: Ryan Bader and Efrain Escudero.

By all accounts 2008 was a great year for Spike and 2009 is shaping up to be even better. What's coming in 2009? How about new seasons of The Ultimate Fighter and DEA, Afro Samurai: Resurrection premiering in January, and the highly anticipated Jesse James is a Dead Man, premiering in May. Another year of great programming on Spike TV and killer content on Spike.com. Drink it in.
