Heidi Montag’s Plastic Surgery Regrets

Reality television star Heidi Montag says she regrets going under the knife and completely transforming her appearance. The 24-year-old discusses her surgeries in an interview on ABC’s Primetime. Montag says she wishes she could turn the clock back and be the original Heidi again. The Hills star says she would have her cosmetic work reversed if she didn’t need to have surgery. She tells Primetime, "I don't want the biggest boobs in the world and, to be honest, I would take them out and downsize them but I don't want to go under the knife again.” Montag says she became obsessed with Hollywood and thought surgery was a way to overcome her insecurities. Instead, she “risked everything… for vanity.” [NY Daily News]

The Pope Flirts with Condoms

In an unprecedented move, Pope Benedict XVI has softened his position on the use of condoms. The Catholic Church has long been criticized for its conservative stance against the use of condoms and other birth control measure. Now in a new interview the Pope has said it’s ok for some to use the prophylactic to prevent the transmission of H.I.V. In a book length interview with German journalist Peter Seewald, Light of the World: The Pope, the Church and the Signs of the Times, Benedict outlined that for male prostitutes condom use was not a moral issue and that they can be used with ‘the intention of reducing the risk of infection." The Pope called it "a first step in a movement toward a different way, a more human way of living sexuality." The Vatican has been quick to downplay the comment and emphasize that the Church’s stance on condoms has not changed. [NY Times]

DMX Denied Bail, Still in Jail

Based on charges that he violated probation for drug use, a judge denied bail for DMX today in an Arizona court. The troubled MC was arrested late last week for probation violations that included using cocaine and Oxycontin. He also failed to submit to drug testing and was even driving with a suspended license. DMX denied these allegations during a brief hearing before Court Commissioner Christine Mulleneaux in Maricopa County, Arizona today. Mr. X's next hearing is set for December 9. I think this guy is a little too ‘real’ for his own good. [Contact Music]

Division III Basketball Game Refuses to End

Watching a Division III basketball game can be painful to watch for an hour. Watching a division III basketball game that lasts 11 quarters? That’s damn near torturous. According to people who were forced to endure such an event “142 people showed up to see Skidmore play Southern Vermont, most of them friends and family members of the players who were eager to start a Thanksgiving break. Skidmore beat Southern Vermont 128-123 on Tuesday night, the longest game ever played at the men's Division III level.” Yes, the combined score nearly doubled the game’s attendance. [NBC]

Derek Jeter Threatening to Play for Other Teams that also Kind of Don’t Want Him

After the worst season of his professional career, Derek Jeter has entered contract negotiations with the New York Yankees during the free agency period. Sadly, it’s not going so well. According to NY Daily News “[The Yankees] have arrived at what they think is a fair contract for Jeter and if he doesn't accept it, he's being greedy and unreasonable and unrealistic and should go test the market.” Sounds like the Toronto Blue Jays just found their aging disappointment for 2011.
