64-Pixel Mario Brothers is Simply Awesome

bybradiger   March 12, 2010 at 3:05PM  |  Views:  |  Comment

Sure, the original Super Mario Bros. may look a bit dated by today's graphical standards, but it's still a blast to play, almost twenty five years after its original release. But can that same special sauce be captured in the most simplistic version possible - displayed on an 8x8-pixel screen?

Designed by a student from Carnegie Mellon University, Super Mario Bros. doesn't get much simpler than this. Yet it's still absolutely awesome looking and comes complete with the theme music!
