Wyclef Jean Accuses Sean Penn of Doing Cocaine in Haiti, Penn Fires Back
After tearing Wyclef a new one on CNN over his presidential bid in Haiti, Sean Penn finally got a taste of his own medicine from the Fugees star himself during a live show in New York City late last week. But the adolescent drama didn’t end there, people.
During a concert in NYC this past Friday, Wyclef Jean had some serious smack-talkin’ words for Sean Penn as well as fellow Fugee Pras.
Why is he so mad at these two? Well, they are two of the biggest names that have spoke out against his plans to run for the President of Haiti. “I got a message for Sean Penn,” Jean sang. “Maybe he ain’t see me in Haiti because he was too busy sniffing cocaine.” Jean continued. Here’s the full video:
This political beef train between Jean and Penn hasn’t ended though. Penn's official representation has actually come out with a legit response to Jean's wild drug accusation. Here it is:
Mr. Jean is clearly unfamiliar with the physical demands put upon volunteers in Haiti. As aid workers there, the notion of depleting the body’s immune system thru the use of illicit drugs is ludicrous. More specifically, J/P Haitian Relief Organization (a.k.a. JPHRO) has a ZERO tolerance policy for any and all illegal drugs. As the leader of this organization, Sean Penn has not only set this policy, but adheres to it. That Mr. Jean would make such a false accusation is reckless and saddening, but not surprising.
Awww snap! S*** just got real, kid.
Wyclef should really learn how to handle criticism. How would he deal with the political media? They’re way worse than your average A-list celebrity tryin’ to talk trash.
On a side note: Wyclef really needs to learn how to sing properly. Fo' real.
