In some of the funniest news to hit the Internet this week, pop parent extraordinaire Britney Spears is attempting to give mother-to-be Beyonce a few pieces of advice before her and Jay-Z have their first little bundle of joy. In a recent interview with MTV News, Spears recommended that Beyonce take a few years off in regards to her music career. "Just embrace it (motherhood) fully... Do whatever you want to do,” Britney candidly said. "If you want to take two or three years off... because, you know, they (kids) grow so fast; it happens so fast. Just treasure the moments." This is some decent advice, but it still sounds funny coming from Britney Spears. [MTV News]

Kim Delaney Booted Off Stage at Award Ceremony

Kim Delaney was escorted off stage at Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center last night after giving a speech honoring former defense secretary Robert Gates who was being presented with the Liberty Medal Award. A clearly disorientated and disheveled Delaney “stumbled to the podium,” slurred her speech and was incoherent. The Army Wives actress told the audience she had “served in active military duty family for five years” and proceeded to describe her army-related experience for some two minutes. Then she dropped a zinger as an uncomfortable audience looked on, saying, “It’s all make believe. I do that as a job. It’s make believe. I have the luxury to do all of this on a television show.” Way to honor the troops, Kim. The 49-year-old was then escorted away from the podium by a producer as a video packaged played. A publicist for Delaney blamed teleprompter technical difficulties for her poor delivery. [ABC News]

Actor Morgan Freeman has delivered a broadside against the Tea Party, labeling it “racist.” The Academy Award-winning actor sat down with CNN’s Piers Morgan and discussed how the right wing Tea Party’s anti-Obama stance is rooted in racism. In an interview to air tonight, he told Piers, “Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term. What’s, what does that, what underlines that? 'Screw the country. We’re going to whatever we do to get this black man, we can, we’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here.'” The 74-year-old actor is unnerved by the rising popularity of the Tea Party and thinks it “shows the weak, dark underside of America.” Morgan says he is disappointed in Obama and thinks he should be more aggressive in taking on the Tea Party. The actor says he understands Obama’s approach and that Commander-in-Chief is taking the higher ground and trying to be “the president for all people.” [CNN]
