Gamer Girl Hotties: Hailey Bright Exclusive Interview

by girls   February 09, 2009 at 8:00PM  |  Views: 1,209

Hailey Bright is a gamer girl making a real splash online. The co-host of Coin-Op TV is cute, charming and positively adorable. She was recently named IGN’s Babe of the Day, BusyGamer.com’s Gamette of the Month and just wrapped a Yahoo! pilot for a female-friendly video game show. She’s the type of girl you want to take home and meet your mother. We recently got together with Hailey to find out her favorite video game, what she can do with a Twizzler, and what she looks for in a guy.

What’s your favorite video game and why?

I love Rock Band! I usually play the guitar - it’s my favorite! My friends are always trying to get me to sing, but I’m a horrible singer! (Laughing) I think they really just want to laugh at my bad singing abilities! It’s a great game because all my friends enjoy playing it - gamers and non-gamers!

Tell us about Coin-Op TV.

Coin-Op TV is a weekly show about gaming, tech, and pop culture! Robert Welkner originally started Coin-Op as a podcast back in 2004 and then turned it into a live show around 2006.  I ended up joining Coin-Op about a year and a half ago as the co-host. Every week we have a guest on the show that is some how linked to the video game or pop culture industy! The show airs live on thestream.tv every Thursday night at 8pm PST/ 11pm EST.

How were you discovered?

Well, I was originally discovered in Knoxville, Tennesssee, while I was at the local shopping mall. It was such a surreal experience, because a talent agent ran up to me completely out of breath and was like “I have been looking for you everywhere and I would like to sign you to my agency!” I was like “Are you kidding?!! Me?!!” It was really awesome!

Are you a geek?

(Laughing) I am a total geek! I was actually just jumping up and down because a fan of Coin-Op TV emailed me telling me that he owns a company that customizes Rubik's Cubes and that he could customize my Rubik's! If that doesn’t make me a geek then I am not sure what does! Also, I love fixing computers and I love geeky technology stuff! It makes me feel all happy inside when I teach someone how to use a new app on their phone or give them advice on how to fix their operating system!

Do you have many gamer girl friends?

Nope! I have a lot of guy friends that are serious gamers, but most of my girlfriends are not very into gaming. My friend Laura is the exception - she has played WOW for a few years and she is really knowledgeable on it!

Do you have a hidden talent?

Yes! I can tie a Twizzler in a knot with my tongue! It is a stupid party trick that I learned in high school, but it actually booked me a part in a commercial once!

Are you enjoying the attention you’re receiving?

(Blushing) Well, it is all quite humbling I must say! I have been getting so much fan mail recently asking for my autograph and I’m like “Someone wants my autograph, really?!” It’s all very flattering! But, I wake up every day and deal with the same stuff everyone else does like boys and studying, so it doesn’t feel a whole lot different on a daily basis!

What do you look for in a guy?

The number one thing I look for in a guy is a great personality! A guy who is smart, funny, and has good manners rates over a super hot model any day in my book! If he happens to be hot, then that is just icing on the cake! And any guy that can cook an awesome grilled cheese sandwich wins mega points too!
