Boston's Finest at UFC 118

by MariShapiro   June 24, 2010 at 12:21PM  |  Views: 164

Two of Boston's most successful MMA fighters - Joe Lauzon and Jorge Rivera - will return to the Octagon at UFC 118: Edgar vs. Penn II on Saturday, August 28.

Before losing to fellow New Englander Kenny Florian in April 2008, Lauzon had swept onto the UFC scene winning his first three fights - one that included a KO of the former lightweight champ Jens Pulver. He's won two of his last three fights and at UFC 118 will be taking on Terry Etim for a battle he'll want to win in front of his home crowd.

Rivera pulled out a devastating knock out over Nate Quarry this past March and is now riding a three-straight win streak. When he takes on Alessio Sakara at UFC 118, it'll be his first fight in front of his home state, just one of many reasons he'll want to pull out all the stops and walk away with the win.
