Designer Gas Masks
Want to survive the coming apocalypse in style? Look no further than upscale designer Diddo Velema, who recently unveiled a line of designer gas masks at the Bucharest's Luxury Show 2008:
Deep down, we are afraid we may never be satisfied. An expanding archive of branded myths and icons feeds this fear. Designer Gas Masks is an attempt to visualize this state of mind. Because it is only by first acknowledging and then challenging fear that we will all be able to breathe a little easier.
According to the designer, the masks are "for gallery purposes only," so it's safe to assume that they aren't necessarily real protection against a biochemical attack. But that doesn't mean you can't at least look like a pimp while clawing through the streets of tomorrow's warzone.
