Based on true personal events, 50/50 is a rare comedic tale about a young guy's (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) cancer diagnosis and the inevitable struggle that ensues when trying to beat the disease into submission. Levitt’s life obviously gets turned upside down, but he also ironically finds himself happier than ever. Seth Rogen also stars as Gordon-Levitt’s wacky best friend. Big surprise there. If Lifetime played more stuff like this I would actually watch it.
