Australia is the Only Country Smart Enough to Hate Britney Spears
After beginning her first tour down under, Australian critics have handed Britney Spears some seriously poor reviews and numerous tales of disappointed fans.
Britney held her first Australian concert in Perth on Friday, with critics have called Spears’ first show "boring" and "stiff." Government officials have also apparently been critical of Brit’s use of lip-syncing during all of her song performances.
The publication Perth Now is claiming that "hundreds of fans stormed out" of the Friday night show. Spears concertgoer Amanda Hawlet stated: "I want my money back or I want her to sing properly. The ticket cost me $200 and she lip-synced the whole thing." Damn right.
In retaliation to the negative comments, sources close to Ms. Spears are now saying that Britney is very broken up about this overwhelming criticism. "Britney is aware of all this and she's extremely upset by it," Spears' tour promoter Paul Dainty told The Australian. "She's a human being. I'm embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting."
It would be nice to think that Britney could rise above this drama and step her game up for the sake of the fans. Unfortunately for her followers, Britney could never really sing in the first place. Sorry, dudes. At least she knows how to arrive!
