College Football Star Sends Romantic Death Threat to Girlfriend
When roses don’t send the right message, and chocolates can’t quite capture the mood, why not send that special lady in your life a loving text message? Like Florida Gators star wide receiver Chris Rainey, who told his girlfriend it was “time to die” late last night.
Rainey, who is one of the fastest and (clearly) most romantic players in college football, did what any good business man would do after sending an online love application. He arranged a face-to-face meeting… at 2:15 a.m.
Sadly, this gesture did not go over well. According to ESPN.com, Rainey went to her home, they talked and she told him to leave.”
Fear not, both hopeless romantics who read the Spike.com sports page. Rainey did not give up on love! He simply went back to the text message route to win her affection.
“Wait and see what happens when they leave” he said while searching for the “I’m going to stab you in your sleep” emoticon on his iPhone.
Rainey has since been “unofficially” suspended by the team and will now faces a few stalking charges from the Florida district attorney’s office.
No word from the girlfriend as to whether she has been wooed by his charming threats.
