Norwegian Skier Uses Classic "Too Much Pornography" Excuse

Every time an athlete fails to meet expectations we always hear the same cliched explanations. Not giving 110 percent, previous injuries, “What do you want? I play for the Cubs,” and anything else that gets thrown out every time the MLB Playoffs roll around. As a sports fan it gets old pretty fast. That's why it's a real breath of fresh air when failed sportsmen go outside the box when breaking down their disappointment.

After a disappointing silver medal performance, Odd-Bjørn Hjelmeset released the following statement that somehow made its way onto Sports Illustrated’s web site by way of the Olympic public relations department:

My name is Odd-Bjørn Hjelmeset. I skied the second lap and I f***ed up today. I think I have seen too much porn in the last 14 days. I have the room next to Petter Northug and every day there is noise in there. So I think that is the reason I f***ed up. By the way, Tiger Woods is a really good man.
