Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price is still waiting for the team to offer him a new contract. Fortunately, he has already won $934 on the professional rodeo circuit this summer, so the monetary aspects of the deal shouldn’t hold things up. (It’s nice to not have to worry about the money.)
A skilled steer roper, Price and what is described as “his partner,” have won several competitions over the summer and currently sit 16th overall in the British Columbia Rodeo Association’s “Heelers” category.
At one point, Price was considered the best young goalie in professional hockey. Today he is the sixth-ranked rookie in the BCRA.
Perhaps it’s time to stop calling Bo Jackson the greatest two-sport star to ever live?
