First Tour Wrapped Up

March 2, 2010

Well, mother nature or airline mishaps did it again.  On our first tour, a 28 inch snowfall almost did in some of our tour dates with Marcy Playground. And, now the first date  of the second leg of the tour starting in Little Rock was cancelled because Steve missed his Detroit connection when his plane was delayed. Never one to give up, Steve hopped an early morning plane, met the band in a jet black prevost at Little Rock's national airport and proceeded to Jonesboro, where the band played on Feb. 26th.  "Now I know why bands don't tour in the winter!" exclaimed an ever thoughtful Steve.

"Without question, this is the best part of writing and recording," concluded the Steve Palmer Band after getting their feet wet (literally because of the weather).  SPB played on Valentine's Day to a crowd that grew more responsive with each song. "Even though they didn't know the music, the crowds were so appreciative and respectful to our music. It was great to see." Steve said.  "In fact, the audience on the dates have been wonderful, even the venue's like Mad Hatter in Cincinnati, where they are used to hearing grunge bands."
