Comic-Con 09: Live Blog from Pandorum Panel

by nathanbloch   July 23, 2009 at 8:46PM  |  Views: 97

Paul Anderson (Resident Evil, not Boogie Nights) introduced a new trailer for Pandorum, his new horror-in-space film. Ben Foster joined Anderson on stage with his costar Antje Traue.

Dennis Quaid couldn't make the panel, though he did make a video appearance, saying he was in London playing Bill Clinton and doing his best Clinton imitation. He introduced the new trailer which, while it didn't show tons of new footage, reinforced its cool stylized look and horrific aliens.

Foster talked a bit about why he takes certain parts, saying that sometimes a script will appeal to a certain part of him. He said he always wanted to go to space camp as a kid and this film appealed to that part of him.

Anderson said that when he first read the script he intended only to read five pages, but then found he couldn't put it down.

Pandorum opens on September 18th from Overture.

If you missed it, here's the first theatrical trailer for the movie:
